About Oswestry
Oswestry has an award winning Indoor Market held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Outdoor market every Wednesday and Saturday and Artisan Market last Friday of every month.
Oswestry has an impressive number of small independent shops with friendly warm welcome, a good choice of cafes and restaurants. Museum and galleries to explore. Compact town centre with excellent floral displays throughout the summer months helping to achieve a Gold Award for 10 consecutive years in the Heart of England Competition.
Oswestry is the birthplace of famous war time poet Wifred Owen. Oswestry also has an award winning park, the impressive St. Oswalds Church, the Town Museum (open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays only) located within the striking Guildhall, two Art Galleries, historic Visitor Centre, indoor and outdoor Market, Cambrian Train Station and Museum, English Heritage Hill Fort and views from the Castle Mount.
